ZenGuide is evolving. From pure social media consultancy, our services now include helping you develop and grow your business and career.

ZenGuide specialises in working with professional service firms as well as business owners and individuals engaged in professional services (such as lawyers, accountants, consultants, wellbeing therapists, tailors, web designers, writers, artisans and other freelancers/ self-employed professionals).

Yang-May Ooi, Founder and Director of Coaching & Strategy

Yang-May Ooi works with professionals to help them develop their businesses and careers, building on her experience advising clients on how to develop their communications strategy using social media.

Yang-May trained as a lawyer* and combines her coaching and business consultancy at ZenGuide with working part-time in the City of London at a financial institution.

She offers coaching, mentoring and strategic planning, drawing from her experience in both the corporate sector and in running her own professional services firm. In the corporate sector she has led and managed small teams and participated in the business development of a large law firm and a billion pound non-profit organisation. In her consultancy services at ZenGuide, she has worked with a range of businesses and professionals to help them communicate using social media.

Her latest book International Communications Strategy, co-authored with Silvia Cambie, was nominated for the FT Goldman Sachs Business Book Award 2009. Her pro-bono social media project, Dulwich OnView won the International Museums & The Web Conference Best Small Museum Website Award in 2010.

As part of her continuing professional development, Yang-May is currently training for an internationally recognised professional coaching qualification at the Coaches Training Institute and is an affiliate member of the Association for Coaching. She is also a member of the International Association of Business Communicators and the City Women’s Network.

Yang-May is also available for speaking engagements, workshops and seminars. Previous speaking engagements include presentations at the Institute of Directors, London College of Communication and London Metropolitan University.
