ZenGuide is evolving. From pure social media consultancy, our services now include helping you develop and grow your business and career.

ZenGuide specialises in working with small businesses and individuals engaged in professional services (such as lawyers, accountants, consultants, wellbeing therapists, tailors, web designers, writers, artisans and other freelancers/ self-employed professionals).

Yang-May Ooi, Business Coach

I work with professionals to help them develop their businesses and careers.

I trained as a lawyer* and combine my coaching and business consultancy at ZenGuide with working part-time in the City of London at a financial institution. My many years of experience of the corporate sector as well as private consulting informs my coaching and mentoring work with her clients.

Clients come to me for my strength in helping them create structured and deliverable plans of action for their businesses and careers that also takeinto account their personal lives and family priorities.

As part of my continuing professional development, I have completed training for an internationally recognised professional coaching qualification at the Coaches Training Institute and am an affiliate member of the Association for Coaching.

Awards and Books

Dulwich OnView, my social media project for the Friends of Dulwich Picture Gallery won the Best Small Museum Website Award at the International Museums & The Web Conference in 2010.

International Communications Strategy, my business book co-authored with Silvia Cambie, was nominated for the FT Goldman Sachs Business Book Award 2009. I have also written two novels, The Flame Tree and Mindgame, published by Hodder & Stoughton.

Speaking Engagements

Speaking engagements have included conferences in Barcelona and Slovenia as well as presentations at the Institute of Directors, London College of Communication and London Metropolitan University in the UK.

I also blog at Fusion View, sharing my personal reflections with a cross-cultural flavour.
