Social Networking Made Simple

This is a terrific little video that explains how social networking online works, created by Common Craft.
There’s really nothing more for me to add other than it’s short, too the point and entertaining while being informative.

At the end of the video, Lee Lefever suggests three social network sites to explore. If you want to check out a few more, take a look at a post I wrote back in April about meeting a new friend on a social network site and listing some other sites to look at.

Common Craft is an excellent blog, and one of the first to be ranked early on for the terms related to Social Design Social Networking.

Lee Lefever continues to demonstrate his ability to simplify complex ideas via entertaining little videos.

Let’s hope he keeps it up.

They say that if you can explain something complex in very simple terms, you truly know your stuff, digitalnomad. That’s evident in the case of Common Craft.

I’ve been using all three of their brilliant films in staff training. Can’t wait for them to do tagging.

Hi Michael, thanks for your comment. I’ve just been over to your blog Green Tea Ice Cream and found it very interesting. We’re all of us learning all the time and I like the way you share your learning, warts and all, on your blog (eg the facebook fiasco you experienced). Re your post on your blog about whether blogging has passed as per Shel Israel’s post, I think the over-excitement about it may have settled down and that blogging will be the steady baseline for social media around which new starrier applications may revolve. I’ll blog more about it once I’ve thought it through a bit more.
